Delicious food. Good service. Even though it may take a little long to get food when they’re busy, they’re working hard in there and they put out a great product. Hope to make it back here sometime soon.
Got the tip from a friend to come here and was really glad I did. This is a very unassuming place from the outside. It’s in a small strip and doesn’t have seating. Park your car, walk up to the window and order and then you eat in your car or take it to go.
The adobo pork was fantastic and so flavorful with the rice. Definitely recommend a stop here if you’re in Lihue.
It is not a dine in place. You order and pick up from a window. I got the idea of trying out this place from a friend and ordered their Grilled Chicken Salad. It had a lot going on but in a great way! Aside from greens, it had the grilled chicken (very tasty by the way), croutons, tomatoes, hard boiled eggs, guacamole on the side and topped with sprouts. Then it came with a generous amount of what I believe was Oriental dressing. It was Awesome and totally something I would go back for again. They also have a menu full of various types of foods to pick from that makes me wanna come back and try. Check them out!! 😉😋👍🎉
Wonderful take-away spot for some classic and tasty plate lunch. The garlic shrimp was delicious with tons of crispy garlic and a generous number of large perfectly cooked shrimp. Definitely will be back for that! The better half says it was a solid Loco Moco with large burger. Tasted great.
We also had Ube cheesecake which was light and tasty.
Saw the great reviews and decided to try. So disappointed there was no cheesecake available. Boo! We both got the chicken teriyaki. It was good, but I don’t care for dark meat or skin left on the chicken. Sauce was good, as were the rice and macaroni salad. Took a bit of a wait.
Tonight, my partner and I ordered dinner there. We had Garlic butter shrimp, Moco Loco, half Smiley’s fried chicken with garlic chili sauce, and half Teriyaki chicken. The order took 20’ and everything was delicious! I recommend not ordering more than two dishes per couple, because the plates are succulent. The best food in Kauai and dishes ate abundant, even “mini” (half) plates.
AMAZING . Def will come back here before leaving Hawaii. Food is slamming. Gotta try the garlic shrimp.
Our last night in Kauai, and we found the best food on the island. Literally inhaled every bite, it was some of the most flavorful, authentic, worth every penny kind of food. We ordered at the window and ate on our tailgate with our kiddos who also were thoroughly impressed. We had the Loco Moco, Smileys chicken, and an incredible combo plate. We can’t wait to come back next year! 5 stars isn’t nearly enough..
It's 2023... and we came back. It's still everything and more. The flavor and simplicity is still all that we hoped for. Wish they could come with us to Oregon.
